Indigenous Open Mic Poetry Night In-person
In partnership with the Piper Center, the Labriola Center will be hosting our biannual Indigenous Open Mic Poetry Night! The event will take place Thursday, February 29th from 6-8pm. We are featuring local Indigenous poets Ayling Dominguez and Amber Bleaser-Wardzala. Both poets are creative writers and artists. Ayling is a mixed-media artist whose work is "experimental in nature and guided by Indigenous Futurisms, as well as interdependence and systems of care." Amber is a fencer as well as an avid beader, whose work has been worn by Joy Harjo for Harjo's closing event as US Poet Laureate.
Join us in-person in our new Labriola space on the 2nd floor of Hayden library in suite 204!
