Understanding the Publishing Process: Behind the Scenes with IEEE In-person / Online
Identifying where to publish your research can be a daunting task. Should you write a conference paper, a journal article or both? What is peer review, an ORCID ID, a predatory journal and other publication jargon?
ASU students, faculty and researchers are invited to attend an insightful session on scholarly communication and publishing, with a focus on opportunities with the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers. IEEE is a widely respected platform for engineering faculty and the research community.
In this session, IEEE Client Services Manager Tom Jevec will share guidance on publishing with IEEE, including:
- Tips for choosing the right IEEE journal or conference.
- Strategies successful authors use to structure impactful research.
- What editors and reviewers look for, and common reasons papers are rejected.
- Ways to boost the visibility and impact of your published research.
- Publishing tools and resources available to support authors throughout the process.
